Hometown: Boston, MA

Tony was given his first guitar on his 14th birthday. Since that time he and the instrument have been inseparable, initially performing with his high school jazz band and a local wedding/top 40 ensemble. Following high school, Tony accomplished one of his major goals by attending Berklee College of Music for two years, after which he decided to transfer and finish school at Los Angeles' Musicians Institute. It was at MI, where students are required to perform in front of a live audience every week, that Tony really honed his technique and on-stage persona.

Upon graduation from MI, Tony moved back east to New York City and began a brief stint in a Brooklyn-based indie rock group, The Warwicks. As he put it, “It was great to be back in a city that was less sunny and more skuzzy… as a musician and songwriter, the grit and the grime inspire me. It just felt more real.” In the Winter of 2006, Tony Grace joined New York rock group ScarlettsWeb.

As well as playing guitar, Tony also plays keyboards and composes original songs. He is a certified guitar luthier, and he designed and built his own electric guitar dubbed the "Tigercaster." Tony cites his biggest influences as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, Buddy Guy, Slash, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Ramones and Bruce Springsteen.

Aside from music, Tony enjoys cooking up a storm in the kitchen, mountain biking, playing pool, hanging out with friends, and going to comedy clubs…he considers himself a jokester by nature.

However, Tony wouldn’t be entirely whole without his music, “My guitar is a part of me…Rock and Roll is my identity, and without it I’m lost.”
